Get it, work it

Okay. So… I really wanted to write a positive or more cheery blog after my last post about webcamming. I don’t want to always be Debbie Downer about the industry that I volunteered to be a part of.

Having said that, I received my first two week paycheck today. I immediately realized this was not the week for this blog to be skipping around the corner towards sunlight.

I got a check that told me my pussy is worth $526 dollars. $526 mother effing dollars! Hour per dollar that is only slightly more than a McDonald’s employee. A McDonald’s employee doesn’t have to get naked and play with their genitals for faceless strangers.

Last week I was called a fat bitch, skank, crack whore, and was told that God, Jesus and my parents hate me. I suspect that McDonald’s employees deal with that to a slightly lesser degree.

First there were the tears, then there was the ‘oh shit rent?’ and finally the rage came. Pillows were thrown, sour straws were eaten, and friends were whinged/ranted to. It’s now about 15 minutes after that, and I am at productive anger stage. I am so ready to be at the ‘Haha, remember when I was broke as shit, selling my titties online for a dollar? Well, look at me now, I have a solid gold poodle!’

I have a folder full applications from other sites and I’m scanning the internet for other gigs. My management signed me up for the cam site I”m on now and I think the month I have been on it has been enough time. Amongst the apps is my yet unsigned contract for my management company. I am now looking at it dubiously. The two largest paying gigs I have had – my porn scenes – I found for myself. Why would anyone looking out for my best interest not be getting me film gigs? Why instead am I on a cam site giving out discount pussy and waiting for my website to be built?

I feel a little guilty, like I’m a quitter because I am definitely, without hesitation, quitting my modeling relationship with my former site.

Lets just break down that $526, shall we? I had $424.65 of private show minutes, $99.12 of spy minutes (where guests can spy on another session without sound for a lesser rate) and $716 earned in tips. I knew that I got one dollar per minute of work, this was outlined in my contract.

The cam site charges about $4.99 per minute. What I did not realize, and what was not clear in the contract, was that I make about 10 percent of my tips. I was thinking, that like any other role where there is tipping, I would make 100 or at least a larger percentage of my tips. Meanwhile, I am shaking my tits for ten dollar tips thinking I am making ten dollars when in actuality I am making a dollar. I would not patronize a restaurant that gave it’s waitresses ten percent of their tips, how is it OK for me to make ten percent of mine? Considering how much polite begging one basically has to do to even get that ten dollars, makes it all the more frustrating.

I have still yet to find out how other sites do their pay structures. I’m researching that now. Maybe a lot of sites are like this. And if they are all like this then I kind of feel like saying WTF ladies and gentlemen? Put your clothes back on, you’re worth more than that!

I like getting naked and playing and being a fantasy. I enjoy the random hilarious conversations I have. And I really really want to preserve my zeal for sex and exhibitionism and adult modeling.

But it’s not worth it for the pay. I spent more than $526 on lingerie, beauty products/services, internet and computer upgrades for this job. I realize that I am new and that there is a learning curve. I get it that there are girls who have the skills and the look to clear two grand plus a week. I humbly bow to these goddesses and their magic diamond pussies.

But how long do I have to eat Top Ramen and play paying bill paying bingo before this job is practical? I’m too impatient to deal with that BS for long and the reality is regardless of what these companies are willing to provide I know I give 100 percent of myself and I demand more than 10 percent in return.
