AIM’s Medical Records Breached; Porn Wikileaks Publishes Private Information for Over 15,000 in Adult Industry

A site called PornWikileaks (I’m intentionally not linking…you can google it if you want) has published damaging personal information about over 15,000 people in the adult industry including their real names, birth dates, and stage names. SwitchedGawker are both reporting that victims of this breach of privacy are nearly 100% positive it was the AIM (Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation) database that was hacked based on stage names and other information that only AIM had. Mike South first broke the news on his blog on March 28th and claims to know who is behind the site and how you can get your information removed. So much about this story is troubling but the site was extremely careful to not publish victim’s medical information which would surely have triggered serious legal ramifications and closed the site immediately and probably permanently. Porn Wikileaks, which also stole it’s mission statement from the actual Wikileaks site, has been a controversial site from the start. Many believe the site was started by an exiled porn star who needed a platform to continue his campaign of vitriol and hate against members of the adult world he felt had wronged him. AIM has launched an investigation and will be looking into criminal and legal actions if necessary.

This is not the first time the site has made personal information public but never before on such a grand scale. For many adult stars, a breach of this magnitude is obviously a serious security and safety risk. Gawker detailed exactly how this site has terrorized Monica Foster and her family in the wake of a story involving the starlette and Lenny Dykstra back in December. The site published not only Ms. Foster’s personal information but information on her parents and family including where they lived and who they worked for. Once trolls were armed with this arsenal of information, Ms. Foster and her family were defenseless against the inevitable salvo.  The family contact the police and FBI but because the site is hosted in the Netherlands, there was little that could be done. Just last month porn star James Jamesson felt he had to go so far as to prove to the world that he was HIV negative by actually posing with his most recent test results after being plagued by rumors perpetuated by Porn Wikileaks.

At this point, I am really hoping that Wikileaks will expose who’s actually behind Porn Wikileaks.
